Ryker and Riley started preschool at the Calvary Chapel and they love it. The unfortunate part is Ryker has been in trouble twice now. Once for using his hands aggressively towards other kids and Riley and the second time for biting and attempting to bite three other kids. Other than that, they both love going to school.

The Hansen's household is always eventful with 4 little boys + 1 big boy. We started off our Easter adventures by searching for the Easter bunny a couple weeks ago at the mall. We didn't have any success. Our next adventure was coloring eggs with Ryker and Riley for the 1st year. Ryker was so excited that he practically thru the first egg in the green dye splashing it everywhere. It is a good thing that daddy had a great idea for the left over box to help contain the spills. Riley had to make sure all color containers had an egg in them at all times. When we put stickers on all the eggs, Ryker thought it was so cool to take the stickers off the eggs we decorated and put them all over his face and body. It is crazy with two - 2 year olds. I know they are in Halloween shirts. I am not confused with my holidays, but they are the only shirts I didn't care if they got stained. The Easter Bunny hid plastic eggs filled with candy all over the house and in the back yard. Ryker and Riley felt it was necessary that every egg they gathered they needed to immediately eat the candy out of the egg. Gage and Trei got about 15 pairs of socks each, a new pair of shorts and lots of candy. Ryker was probably most excited about his new mini skateboards and Riley was most excited about his Sponge Bob basket that he wore as a hat.

You could possibly say that Riley is a little obsessed with hats. In this adventure, he thought it would be perfect to find every single one of his hats and put on top of his head. He not only had his hats but I think he had a couple of his dad's hats.

Merry Christmas!
We had a really nice, quiet Christmas. Gage and Trei were really excited about their new ipod 8gb touchs. Tim and I should have stop buying presents for Ryker and Riley after the miniature cars. They opened up their cars first and didn't seem to interested in anything else after that point. Ryker and Riley enjoyed opening presents this year. Ryker actually said "wow" to one of them.

We took all the boys to the mall to sit on Santa's lap. As soon as Tim set Ryker and Riley down on Santa's lap, they screamed. Gage and Trei had to rush over to make them stop screaming. As you can tell Ryker was still not satisfied.

Dry storage

Since I have been couponing, I have significantly increased our dry storage. Tim and Trei helped me organize our dry storage area about a month ago. This doesn't include the 30 packages of wipes I got from Target for $.55, the 50+ toddler disposable wipes I got for FREE, and the 20 packages of Rayovac batteries I got for FREE!

We bought Ryker and Riley their 1st potty. All through the store Riley would say potty. Ryker and Riley were so excited to help Gage, Trei and Sloan put their toilet together. Riley was ready to strip down and sit on the potty. We aren't pushing to get them potty trained, but if they are interested we will encourage.

We went to Nashville and Knoxville in October. It was fun. Tim had to work the majority of the time and I stayed with my friend Emily. We went to Knoxville over the weekend to visit Tim's friends. Here is a couple pictures.

Tim can't ask for much more help. They both wanted to help daddy mow the lawn. Riley got on first and when it was Ryker's turn Riley wouldn't get off. So Tim being the good dad, he took them both on the lawn mower. He said it was difficult, but Ryker and Riley were happy.

Tim went hunting for Labor Day weekend. So Ryker, Riley and I decided to go to Ross Park on Saturday with some friends and we went to the zoo on Sunday with Grandma Lindberg. Ryker was latched onto me like a little leach at Ross Park, but Riley was wandering all over in the water. Good thing I was right next to him because he lost his balance a couple times.

I decided I was going to take Ryker and Riley to the zoo without a stroller so they could run their little hearts out. They loved running everywhere. Especially over the bridges (multiple times). They had so much fun. Today was the first day I saw Ryker and Riley take an adults hand to walk with them. Normally I am forcing them to hold my hand because I am dragging them back from something I don't want them in. Ryker grabbed grandma's hand first as we were walking along and Riley grabbed mine. Then Ryker tried holding Riley's hand. It was very precious. Grandma bought Ryker and Riley their own ice cream cone. We gave Ryker his first and before he took a bite, he immediately gave Riley.

Obsessed with digital scrapbooking!

If anyone didn't know, I am officially obsessed with digital scrapbooking. You wouldn't believe how much faster it is. I have almost officially caught up from the last 9 months. I think I have printed off 60 pages between all four boy's scrapbooks. I print my pages off at the CPS store in Rigby. They only charge $1.35 per 12x12 page. This is an incredible savings from the traditional cost. I am going to combine my scrapbooks with digital and traditional, but I definitely think the majority of my books will be digital. Here are a couple of my latest scrapbook pages.

First Day at a new school

Between Tim, Starla and I we made a decision to have Gage go to Sandcreek this year. Gage was pretty excited. I think it was more for the football team and possibly winning some games. I made some really cute scrapbook pages for their first day, but I haven't been able to upload them because the file is to big. We gave Trei the choice of continuing at Edgemont or going to Woodland Hills and Trei chose Woodland Hills. I think Trei chose Woodland for a similar reason why Gage was excited to be switching schools.

Gage is in 7th Grade at Sandcreek.

Family Vacation

We decided to take a short little vacation. We were in 4 states in 6 days: Idaho, Montana, Washington, and Oregon. Ryker and Riley did pretty well. By the end, Ryker made us aware just how much he did not enjoy his car seat. The six pictures below were from Spokane.

Gage and Trei loved this slide at the hotel. Tim took Ryker down the slide. Ryker had his life jacket on and only cried a little. After the slide, Ryker just wanted to be cuddled.

There was a river by our hotel that had a walk way with this big red wagon, a carousel, other rides, and a big fountain.

Gage and Trei found some little furry friends. Tim says they are rock chucks. All I know is there were 10 hungry little critters.

When we were in Seattle, we went to an aquarium.
Riley is hanging out with Briana, Grandma and Grandpa Lindberg at the family reunion in Mt. Hood, Oregon. We had family reunion in Welches, Oregon for my mom's side of the family.

Surprise, surprise, Ryker is picking on poor Riley. The water didn't bother Riley though. He kept squatting down with water blowing in his face so he could get the hose and spray everyone. Ryker was smart because after Riley would get the hose Ryker would steal the hose from Riley and not get sprayed in the face.

Cindy's Mini Farm!

Ryker and Riley immediately spotted the water when we got to Cindy's house and splashed in it.

Gage and Trei loved the little bunnies. They want to trade Pixie and Tinkerbell in for a bunny. I think between Tim and I we have been asked a dozen times for a cute little bunny.

Cindy is showing Ryker a little bunny. Don't let Ryker fool you in this picture. He looks sweet and innocent, but if you don't watch him he will begin to slap the poor little bunny. I think Ryker's slapping is his form of petting.

Tim, Hilary and I decided it would be fun to take the three musketeers to the zoo. Surprise, surprise Ryker was sleepy and cuddled with his dad the majority of the time. Ryker tried throwing Kyleigh out of his little circle. Kyleigh just wanted to play. I think at least once (maybe twice) Ryker pulled Kyleigh's hair while in the circle of trust.

Riley and Ryker both had to test out Kyleigh's pink rig, which meant poor Kyleigh got shoved in the wagon. Riley thinks he is pretty cool with his skull sunglasses.

They all played with the goats. Ryker kept hitting the poor goats with his sunglasses.

Daddy thought it was a good idea for the babies to learn how to color and experiment in the tub. This package includes crayons, paint, and fizzles. The fizzles cause the water to be a different color. They love drawing on the bathtub and eating their crayons.

Easter at Community Park

We have been working really hard on our basement, so Easter wasn't planned. The Easter bunny brought some eggs with M & M's, but for some reason the package never got opened and the eggs never got hid. Ryker and Riley got some water guns and crayola crayons for the tub. Gage and Trei got a x-box game called American Idol. Easter afternoon, Tim and I took Ryker and Riley to Community Park. They loved being outside. For some reason, Ryker is really attracted to the parking lot.

Ryker and Riley thought it would be a good idea to share a swing. Okay, maybe not, Tim and I thought it was a good idea. Riley smiled and had fun, and Ryker cried.

Both Ryker and Riley screamed and arched their back when we put them in their carseats. They didn't want to leave.

Little Musicians

Ryker and Riley went over to grandma and grandpa Lindberg's house on Saturday to hang out while Tim and I painted the basement. Grandma decided to strip Ryker and Riley from their pants so they could get around better. They found the piano and had to test it out. I'm sure they played a lovely tune. Ryker loves dancing to music. When he hears a song he will start bouncing or swaying. Riley dances a little. Riley loves making loud noises. He likes banging spoons on grandma's wood floor and he laughs when you slam your hand really hard next to him to make a noise. They are always on the run and into everything. It is only getting worse now that they are gaining their independence and testing everyone around them.

Riley took his first steps tonight all by himself. He probably only took five at the most. He fell down a lot and Ryker was practically running circles around him. Riley must have decided he no longer wanted to be left out of the walking club at the Hansen household.

Friday was such a beautiful day! I wish every day was that exact temperature. Tim got his motorcycle out and took Ryker for a really, really, slow motorcycle ride. He drove a couple houses down, turned around, and did the same thing in the other direction. I didn't get my camera out fast enough to catch Ryker smiling. Riley didn't want anything to do with the motorcycle when Tim started the motorcycle.

Yes, that is picking your nose. As you can tell Riley has figured that one out. Riley won't be picking his nose, and I will say "don't pick your nose". He immediately shoves his finger up his nostril. I know that is gross, but it is great that he knows exactly what I am talking about.

Ryker and Riley were in the Post Register today for babies born in 2008 at EIRMC. Of course, I had to post my little darlings. They didn't win the cutest twin contest, but they will always be the most beautiful, little boys in my eyes.

I'm just kidding, it is a good thing but now I am really going to be running. Ryker is so proud of himself. Riley walks behind some toys and he will stand by himself. Riley hasn't taken the extra leap like Ryker yet.

I went downstairs for no more than 5 minutes to watch Tim sheat rock and I heard some banging upstairs. Everyone who has kids (or dogs) knows that is not a good sound. I went upstairs and I found two little nickenpoops in the drawer below the oven. They were having a wonderful time! Now I have to figure out how to keep them out of it.

I finally figured out how to use my adobe photo shop elements program. It has only taken me since May 2008. I love traditional scrapbooking, but I am really excited about digital scrapbooking for those times that I have to duplicate a page 4 times. I realize this isn't my best scrapbook page, but like traditional scrapbooking it takes time to really create a masterpiece.

Ryker and Riley were not very happy to get their pictures taken on their birthday. Riley cried and screamed during the pictures. I put him in the wagon and he was as happy as could be. he was standing in the wagon, smiling and laughing. Why couldn't he do that for the pictures? I thought they would get a little more into the cupcake, but I don't think they knew what to do with that sticky stuff on their fingers.

Santa Trip

We went to the mall the other day to visit Santa. We forgot our stroller, so we decided to rent one of the fire engines because Riley and Ryker are getting too big to pack around everywhere. As soon as we put Rily in the Fire engine he immediately grabbed the steering wheel and started twisting it with a huge grin. We set Ryker in and the seat belt was broke. So Ryker grabbed onto Riley's seat and did these pelvis thrust things so he could look around Riley and see what was going on. As you can see, he also had a huge smile. They laughed and giggled all throughout the mall. Gage and Trei contributed to that. At the end of the trip Ryker was sleeping in the front seat. Ryker and Riley sat on Gage and Trei's lap when they went to see Santa. The twins didn't cry but they didn't know what to think of the big man in the red suit.

Daddy's crawling boys

Ryker and Riley love being around their daddy. About a month ago, you could ask Ryker where his dadda is and he would point at Tim and say dadda. It was so cute! It also made Tim feel really good. Now that Ryker and Riley are doing the army crawl through out the house, they follow their dadda everywhere. He can't even take a shower by himself. Ryker's favorite place is the dog dish. He loves spreading every piece of Pixie and Tinker Bell's food through out the kitchen. Riley followed him into the kitchen during one of his messes, and Riley ended up eating a piece of dog food. I figure it is a cheaper way to have them learn to feed themselves, just kidding. Riley is getting more and more curious and daring. We think he will be the first to actually crawl, because he gets up on his knees a lot more. Boy, oh boy, are we going to have our hands full when they are running full speed.

Ryker loves Oreo's just like his mom. I normally don't have them all over my face when I am through. Ryker and Riley eat just about anything. Riley is a little pickier than Ryker, and Riley still gags on some textures. This picture on the left is Ryker trying to help his daddy feed him. Instead of helping his daddy he makes a huge mess because Ryker's hands are out of control, especially when a spooon is involved. Tim said that the food was all over Ryker, the counter, the chair, and the floor. Ryker was as happy as could be. Ryker and Riley still rely on us to feed them, but eventually they'll feed themselves.

Pumpkin Pictures

Ryker and Riley were very excited to get their pictures taken with all the pumkins. Actually I don't know if they were happy to see me or if they knew that grandma had some lemon cookies that she was going to sneak them. Grandma figured Ryker and Riley would like the lemon cookies because they enjoy sharing Grandma's lemon bundt cake. When Grandma tries and puts the cake away to save for later, Ryker and Riley start crying. When Grandma got out of the car and walked by Ryker's side, Grandma said Ryker got a sad look on his face and started screaming. Ryker knew that his sugar source was leaving. This made Grandma feel so bad that she had to call me on the way home and see how her little baby was.

Boo at the Zoo!

We went to Boo at the Zoo today with Ryker and Riley's older brothers, Gage and Trei. Starla and I took six kids to the Zoo. It was quite eventful! Ryker and Riley saw their girlfriend, Kyleigh. Kyleigh is 3 weeks younger and very infatuated with Riley in the pictures. Okay, it probably isn't Riley but maybe the cool toothbrush he is playing with. No candy for the little ones yet.

Splish Splash

Ryker and Riley love bath time. Riley hardly pays any attention to you because he is too busy splashing. Riley stares at the water, splashes, and does his scissor kicks. Riley get mad and cries when you lean him backwards to wash his hair and his body because he isn't done playing. You have to watch Ryker carefully because he flops himself backwards. Ryker doesn't care what position he is in.

We went up to Wyoming to spread Tim's grandpa's ashes. When we were done with the ceremony we decided to play in the wild flowers.

Riley's 1st haircut

Riley was born with a ton of hair. Everyone said he was going loose it all but it just kept growing and getting thicker. Some hair was longer than the other hair and he looked like he had a nappy comb over. It was time for a hair cut. Riley was almost five months when he got his first haircut in Generations Salon by Susan Ball. Riley did really good and he looked like a handsome little boy afterwards. He has had two other haircuts since that first one.

The Big Day!

This picture was taken on December 20, 2007. Tim and I had to do the belly bump to see who was bigger. At the time I just didn't understand why everyone thought I was so big! Now I see why. After work on January 2, 2008, Tim and I decided to go to the hospital for a stress test. They ended up keeping me at the hospital because my contractions were getting stronger and I was dilating. At 9:40 pm, my doctor came in and told me they were taking me in for a c-section in 20 minutes. Both Tim and I became a little frantic, because even though we had been saying we were ready for the babies we weren't completely prepared. We called our family to tell them the news and within 20 minutes we had 16 family members in our room waiting anxiously for the doctor to take me away. I didn't end up going to the OR until 11:30 pm because my doctor had two c-sections scheduled before me. They pulled Baby 1 (Ryker) out at 11:59 pm and Baby 2 (Riley) out at 12:01 am. Ryker weighed 5 lbs. 15 oz and was 19 1/4 inches long. Riley weighed 4 lbs. 3 oz and was 18 inches long. The nurses kept saying that Ryker got all the groceries. Riley had to stay in the NICU for 6 days because he was having issues digesting food. There was six set of twins in the NICU when we were there. Everyone kept referring to us as the ones with the babies that have two different birthdates or the ones with a baby in the NICU and the other one in an open crib. It is amazing how the love you feel increases even more when you meet your babies for the first time. Ryker and Riley is one of the best things that happened to me. I know Tim feels the same about all of his boys.

Tim and I had been dating for about 3 years before we got married on September 10, 2005. Tim has two wonderful children from a previous marriage. I met them when Trei was 3 and Gage was 5. We got married at Rose River Receptions (near Blackfoot). From the pictures our professional photographer took, you probably can't tell that we were freezing and the majority of the guests left early because of the bad weather. Our family had to unfortunately stick it out and dance the night away. This was our new beginning to an eventful life.
